The primary goal of this school year is to engage and immerse students in US history and challenge them to think critically about the past. Students will focus on learning and developing historical skills. Contextualization, Sourcing, Corroboration and Close Reading are practiced on a regular basis to help students learn how to take a story telling, scientific and argumentative approach to learning history. We will take the time to occasionally reflect on life and school using restorative practice circles communicate. Topics will include but are not limited to:
